
Judson Garrett, MA, serves as the Associate Director of the Center for Innovative Leadership at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. As the Associate Director, he oversees the Center’s communication and engagement strategies, supports faculty research initiatives, and engages with local and global leaders committed to leading with empathy, competence, and agility.
After a decade as a K-12 History teacher, varsity coach, and department chair, Judson went on to lead several educational technology startups with an emphasis on dynamic teaming and human-centered design. Based on insights gained from these experiences, he developed and taught courses on creative problem solving, innovative leadership, and student success at Arizona State University, Grand Canyon University, Hartwick College, and Johns Hopkins University.
In addition to leadership development and community engagement, Judson is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education at the JHU School of Education where he researches and analyzes how to leverage entrepreneurial leadership practices to increase psychological safety and creativity for leading innovation in higher education and beyond.
